Invite on WhatsApp without losing the answers
Many wedding invitations now go out on WhatsApp. Here is how to get a clear answer from every family.

The problem of scattered answers
When the invitation goes out as a picture in dozens of chats, answers arrive everywhere: a message, a voice note, an "inshallah". Then it all has to be copied out, and nobody knows who is coming to which celebration.
A simple method
- One invitation per family, with its name, rather than one picture for everyone.
- A link where the family answers for each celebration and says how many are coming.
- A personal note with the link, or a voice note for elders.
- A reminder a week before the final count is due, only to those who have not answered.
What to put in the invitation
- The names of the couple and of the families inviting.
- Each celebration with its date, time and place (with a map link).
- The date to answer by.
Common questions
Can you send a wedding invitation on WhatsApp?
Yes, it is now common. To keep answers clear, send one invitation per family with a link where they answer for each celebration, rather than one picture for everyone.
