What to plan for
- The venue, often priced by the number of guests.
- The caterer, usually a price per person: often the largest item.
- The negafa: outfits, jewellery, the amariya and help for the bride.
- The band or DJ, the photographer and the videographer.
- The couple's outfits, make-up and hair.
- The sdaq, the dfou3 and gifts between families.
- The henna night, the hammam and the other celebrations.
- Decoration, flowers, cake, invitations, transport.
- The honeymoon, and tickets for family who travel.

- Agree in advance which family pays which item.
- Keep a margin for last-minute spending.
Common questions
How much does a wedding in Morocco cost?
It depends mostly on the city, the season, the number of guests and the caterer, who charges per person. We publish no average without a source: ask for at least three quotes per item and add them up with the calculator.
